Watercolour (framed) of the Coming of Age Celebrations on North Front at Stowe by James Danby. Richard Plantagenet Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, later 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, came of age in 1844. Morris Dancers from Brackley are shown in the painting, one of the earliest representations of Morris Men. The painting was purchased from Freeman Dansia, auctioneers.
